Where is the club at??

Im just wondering where abouts the club is in getting the drag strip??
What is the next step??

well really it would be nice to get some info i have tried many times to go but low and behold work is in the way .

i mean it is all well and good to say go to meetings etc but not all of us work 9 to 5 monday to friday .

i mean if we are expected to take time off work to find out some simple information there really is somthing wrong .

i knwo im havin a bit of a whinge but i have seen this Q asked a few times with the same " come to meetings " response hence why i havent asked myself as i would just get the $h!ts on , as i did when there was the big blues about noone turning up to events etc. last year .

**** if i could go to all events and attend every meeting i would .

I have a meeting with BHP tomorrow at 10.30. Then we will let everyone know what is going on.
I appreciate that you(and others) live in Kambodia-need a passport to get here and are shackled to the job(all pun intended!)but a lot of people aren't and we have had some real crappy turnouts at the meetings-usually the same 9 people attend! (we are very happy with the others that turn up now n then.) Thats why we took this approach.

I see where you guys are coming from with not giving free info on the forum to encourage to people to come, but I was thinking and it was only a thought, if you did give snippets of info about where the club is at and what ideas are being chucked around, it will get those that arent going thinking and may even encourage those that arent going, to go to the meetings to chuck in their fresh ideas. Because when people don't know stuff, then it doesnt get them thinking about it and kinda gets lost in day to day stuff. As some people like being members of the club but just arent into the meeting scene, but if they were kept in the loop because having their membership helps increasing the chance of having a strip and they may hopefully even get motivated to participate in more things (and get friends etc) and even organise events to raise funds as it all helps towards the strip.

Also, I know its kind of babying us, but what about reminders, as I know it works for me as I always think of it at 2000hrs or the next day etc etc. Just a thought...

I forgot to add, I know the newsletter gives info and it great receiving the letter but maybe reverse pscycholgy may work on people, by giving them other bits of info on the forum which seems to be a demand by people and it might encourage and motivate them to attend meetings. Does that make sense?? JUst an idea I thought I would flick out there since the focus at the moment is to get people going i think :blink:

Yeah, I know we tend to be very pushy on coming to meeting to find out where the club is at in regards to the drag strip but it is something we do to try and get the numbers attending. This meeting should be a great one to make it too as there are a few things going on that I'm sure will spark a lot of interest..
