Here are some other pictures, right out the front of my house a while back.
2x16-17 year olds, probably incredibly drunk, trying to run away from the cops. chase ended with them driving into a huge ditch, (you cant see from these photos) but the chasis was severly bent in the middle.

These are the kind of incidents that make you think would younger drivers benefit from engine restrictions in W.A like over East? Probably not. However, put two and two together: Kalgoorlie has very high wages for younger people on the mines and then they can go out and purchase these high powered vehicles = Kalgoorlie has the highest hoon law confiscation rate by far in W.A.

It is a real shame as now all modified cars will be more heavily targeted more then what they are in Kalgoorlie. All because of some silly individuals who could not control themselves.

It's a novel thought - but in reality if you are going to speed and lose control of a vehicle, you can do it in any car... sometimes it just comes back to the driver. ie. you can do 150 in a hundi excel down that street if you really wanted to. Don't get me wrong i think restrictions are in someways a good idea - but it won't stop this sort of incident if the story given is true. :(
I only hope that they were okay, and no one was in that parked car or on the footpath when they hit.

That's F@#$ing nasty. I hope that everyone involved is safe.

That being said, I hope the cops throws the book at them. There is no need for that kind of speed in a built up area.

Need to throw more than a book at them.. Start with Jail time I say.. Before they do kill some one!!

What losers!

The only positive to come out of it is that they did not hit any other car and an innocent person walking along. Kind of self destructed and now have to encounter the consequences of their actions.

It is sad that it takes something this severe to make some people realise they have to take responsibility for their own behaviour. Lets hope both boys are thankful they are not dead and learn the lessons required.

Having spoken to a family member of those involved and injured in the crash - there are a number of mistruths coming out in this thread and in the numerous email versions that have been sent out.

Based on the fact that this is on a very public website, everyone should be thoughtful about posting comments when they may not have actual facts - it could be classed as defamatory if it is wrong and that won't help anyone at all. :(

Not saying everything in here is wrong, but there has been some deviations from the truth in a few areas - esp with the now repetitive email versions that keep showing up.

Just my 2c :D

2IMPULSIV

Yeah????

At end of the day people can only comment on what is getting around and so for there is a few different stories. But the pictures do tell a fair bit of the story. Speed must have been the main factor and in a 50 zone its not that good.

Having said that, it is a very hard reminder to all that these things can and do happen.. It's made me slow down even more!!

Heh, people take notice of email rumours these days?

If there wasn't copious amounts of booze involved, it's possibly even worse. Somebody supposedly in league with their good senses writing off their mates vehicle like that?... friggin' retarded.

It was the owner driving , he is 18 , he has only just received his licence back from DD , he told the cops he had been drinking , 3 cougars and was doing 80kmh . . .

3 cougars and was doing 80kmh . . .

If there's one thing cops love, it's being obviously lied to.

Safe to assume he's kissing the license goodbye again.
